 INTRODUCTION:
If you own a 4x4 and would like to use your vehicle for what it is intended,
join ANTS tag-a-long adventure expeditions on a self-drive guided expedition through the
wilds of Africa. The self-drive option allows you to explore the capabilities of your own
vehicle in the comfort of your own vehicle. You have the services of a tour guide, so you
will not get lost or
miss out on interesting sights or happenings along the route. ANTS
tag-a-long adventure expeditions will give your holiday a whole new meaning . . . ANTS
tag-a-long adventure expeditions offers seven different expeditions ranging
from a 15 day Botswana expedition to a 3 month Trans-Africa Expedition (Morocco to South Africa).
At least once a year, ANTS tag-a-long expeditions undertake a true expedition where the group
travels to "not-known" territory. In 1997 ANTS tag-a-long expeditions went to see the gorillas
in Uganda - the Gorilla Expedition.
 EXPEDITIONS CAN BE ADAPTED TO ACCOMMODATE ANY SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
Overnight stops range from
bush camps with no facilities to established camp sites. Not all expeditions are "rough-it" type
expeditions and guests are not expected to build and break their own camps daily as we could provide
and setup their tented camp.
ALL EXPEDITIONS OFFER THE FOLLOWING:
- Logistical information in connection with passports, visas, travel insurance, etc.
- Complete tour guide services are given by friendly tour guides.
- Martin has a level 3 first-aid and all other tour guides have Red Cross certificates, should a situation
necessitate medical help.
- 4x4 recovery equipment are standard items on all expeditions.
- All tour guides have a sound knowledge and experience of driving a 4x4 vehicle.
- An onboard "library" for more detailed information.
- Any special arrangements for river rafting, bungee jumping, 'mokorro' rides etc.
- Meals provided and prepared by creative Chefs in typical bush tradition.
